We met through dancing, built a life around
teaching it, and over the years that grew into
videos, classes, tours, television, a studio, a
cruise, and a whole lot of people we are lucky
enough to dance with along the way.

We Met Through Dance.

We met in Nashville, where Anthony owned a dance studio. Rose drove past it every day on her way to work until one day she finally decided to walk in and take a lesson.

She started with another instructor at the studio before eventually moving onto Anthony's schedule. About a year later, as Anthony was looking for a new dance partner, we started practicing together outside of lessons, performing at the studio, and occasionally teaching classes together.

Then one night we went out dancing as friends. 
We came home as something a little different.

​What started in that Nashville dance studio eventually took us to Texas, where we built a family, opened our own studios, and started creating the things that would eventually become X Dance.

We have never been interested in making dance more complicated than it needs to be. Our goal is to help people understand what they are doing and why it works, so they can have fun and actually use it when they go out dancing.

​We break things down clearly, focus on what matters most, and teach movement in a way that feels natural instead of forcing people to memorize endless patterns.

Most Days, We're Still Just Teaching People to Dance.

Most Days, We're Still Just Teaching People to Dance.

We have had the chance to do some pretty cool things because of dance, but most of our days still look a lot like they always have.

We teach classes. We film lessons. We answer questions. We travel for workshops. We do all of that in between being Mom and Dad, getting the kids where they need to go, figuring out dinner, and doing all the normal family stuff that fills the day.

And when we can, we still go dancing together just because we love it. That is how all of this started, and it is still something we get to share with each other. Now even the kids have started getting involved in dance too.

​The audience has gotten bigger and the places we teach have changed, but the part we enjoy most really has not. We still love helping someone understand something they could not quite get before and watching it finally click.

​We Would Actually Want to Take.

By 2023, we had spent years teaching workshops, traveling, filming videos, social dancing, and meeting people from all over the country through X Dance.

The cruise came from a simple idea: what if we took all the parts we loved most and put them together in one trip? So we did.

The first X Dance Cruise sailed in 2023 with fewer than 50 people because the ship sold out before we could get more cabins. People loved it, wanted to come back, and many did.

​The next year we grew to about 100 people. Since then, the cruises have continued to sell out, guests keep returning, and it has become our favorite thing we do every year.

Turns out, other people wanted that kind of trip too.
